Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has signed two central defenders (Ragnar Klavan & Joel Matip) and a new goalie (Loris Karius) to reinforce his defense this summer.
Now, the Reds have agreed a new contract with a young defender in the form of England international Lloyd Jones.
The Merseysiders have confirmed on their official website that the 20-year-old starlet has signed a new deal with the club and has been loaned out for a season to Swindon Town.
The 6 ft 2 England international is mainly a center back but he has also been deployed in the right back position. Last season, the youngster featured in four U-21 Premier League games for the Reds and scored 2 goals. He made 11 appearances for Blackpool (on loan) in the last campaign as well.
Liverpool have completed seven key signings so far this summer and the German manager must further reinforce the quality of his squad to challenge the best teams next season.

Great to have some English talent,it is a must for all English side’s. Well done Liverpool.vi
What LFC team needs now is at least one solid left back and one central defender. The team should not reply on the duo of Moreno and Lovren for the two positions respectively, though Lovren put up some stellar performance against Barcelona last term. Klopp must address this if we are to stand any chance of winning laurels and qualify for Champions league.
