Liverpool and Chelsea will collide in their first game of the International Champions Cup. Who will come out on top?
So far, the Merseysiders have played 4 pre-season games this summer and have won all the fixtures without even conceding a single goal. On the other hand, Chelsea have played two games, lost 2-0 against Rapid Vienna and won 3-0 vs RZ Pellets.
This might be a friendly game but we can expect Jurgen Klopp and Antonio Conte to field strong sides when the two teams collide on 27th July.
As far as Liverpool’s team news is concerned, Danny Ings may start as the lone striker up front. Behind the England international, Brazilian duo Coutinho and Firmino will probably start with summer signing Sadio Mane in the attacking midfield.
Two new players Marko Grujic and Georginio Wijnaldum may start in the central midfield. As far as the defense is concerned, the likes of Clyne, Matip, Lovren and Moreno should start in front of goalie Loris Karius.
Here is Klopp’s potential 4-2-3-1 XI for Liverpool vs Chelsea.
