Tottenham Hotspur were beaten by Juventus (1-2) in their opening game of the International Champions Cup yesterday. Argentine attacker Erik Lamela was on the score-sheet for the North Londoners.
Next up, Spurs will face losing Champions League finalists Atletico Madrid on 29h July at the MCG.
Expect manager Mauricio Pochettino to make a few changes in the starting XI that featured against the Serie A champions.
New summer signing Vincent Janssen should retain his place as the lone striker up front for Spurs. Lamela started on the bench vs Juventus and will probably be in the starting XI against Diego Simeone’s men. The former Roma star may line up with Son and Chadli behind the Dutch striker.
Mason and Wanyama should start in the center of the park. As far as the defense is concerned, the likes of Amos and Yedlin may get the nod to start.
Here is Tottenham’s Potential 4-2-3-1 XI vs Atletico Madrid.
