Liverpool have already sold a midfielder this summer in the form of Joe Allen. The Welsh international left the Anfield club and sealed a move to Stoke City.
If reports in the media are anything to go by then the Reds are close to selling another midfield star and this time around, Lucas Leiva is heading out of Liverpool.
Sport Witness cite reports in the Turkish media (Sabah) claiming that Galatasaray have agreed a fee of 2.5 million euros with Liverpool to hire the services of the Brazilian midfielder. Lucas has been linked with a move away from Anfield for quite some time and it looks likely that he will finally leave Liverpool.
Lucas joined the Merseysiders back in 2007 under the management of Spanish boss Rafael Benitez and he has featured in over 300 games for the Reds. The 28-year-old Samba star has scored six goals for the club.
As per the provided Sport Witness link (via Milliyet), the former Gremio star has already agreed personal terms and will seal a 3-year-deal with the Turkish side that will make him earn 2.7 million euros annually.
Jurgen Klopp lured Serbian midfielder Marko Grujic in the winter transfer window. After selling Lucas, he must focus on signing a strong defensive midfielder this summer.
