Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has signed more than a few quality players this summer to reinforce his squad for next season and now he needs a new fullback.
The German boss has been looking to sign a left back for quite some time and must act swiftly to secure one before the transfer window closes next month.
Back in May, Liverpool were considered favorites to lure Ben Chilwell from Premier League champions Leicester City and the latest reports suggest that Klopp is now eager to lure him.
The 19-year-old England international is a versatile talent who is mainly a left back but can also play as a defensive midfielder if needed. According to reports (The Sun), the Merseysiders have been after the teenager for months and Klopp is desperate to finally hire his services.
The Reds made an offer of 7 million pounds to secure his signature but the move was rejected by the Foxes (Telegraph).
As per the provided Sun link, the former Borussia Dortmund manager will now offer 8 million pounds to Leicester and a five year deal to Chilwell to seal the signing. Will that offer be enough? It will still be short of his price tag because Leicester City rate the youngster around 10 million pounds (Daily Mail).
