If reports in the media are anything to go by then Arsenal are closing in to sign Leicester City playmaker Riyad Mahrez in a huge deal this summer.
According to reports (Mirror via Eurosport France), the Foxes playmaker has decided to move to the Emirates and the two clubs are set to agree a fee of 42 million pounds ($55 million) to complete the transfer.
The 25-year-old Algerian international deservedly won the PFA Player of the Year award after brilliant performances in the title winning campaign. He scored 17 goals and provided 10 assists in 37 Premier League games for the Foxes last season under the management of Claudio Ranieri.
Mahrez can play anywhere in the attacking third, however, last season he mainly played as a right winger for Leicester.
At Arsenal, Alexes Sanchez covers the left hand side of the attack and record signing Mesut Ozil starts as the central attacking midfielder. If Riyad does end up signing for the Gunners, he will start on the right hand side of the attack in Wenger’s preferred 4-2-3-1 formation.
Here is how Arsenal will line up with Mahrez.
