Arsenal are heavily linked with a move to sign Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain this summer. Can the Gunners finally lure the Argentine forward?
Previously, it has been reported that his agent, has agreed terms on a 5 year deal worth €45 million (£37.5 million) for the former Real Madrid forward (Emanuele Giulianelli).
There were other rumors indicating that the 28-year-old striker is heading to Juventus but the son of Napoli owner came up and clarified that such rumors are baseless (ESPN).
The La Albiceleste center forward scored 36 goals in 35 Serie A appearances for Napoli last season. Only Luis Suarez (40) and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (38) scored more league goals than Higuain.
If the prolific striker does end up signing for Arsenal then he will surely get straight into the starting XI. Wenger prefers a 4-2-3-1 formation, which means that Higuain will likely line up as the main man up front for the Gunners.
If Gonzalo arrives, Giroud will have to warm the bench and it will not come as any surprise if the French striker leaves the Emirates. Here is how Arsenal will line up with Higuain.

Arsene Wenger must try by all means to lure Higuain in order to challenge for the premier League title .
We have come to another transfer period where we are getting the same headlines we see every year. While teams with trophy winning players are still buying, all we get from our team is speculations and romours. I think we need to hear deifnitely that Arsenal has completed the signing and not always “about to”. “Arsenal eyes”, “Arsenal is interested in” and these speculative statements.
Why is Ramsey on the right wing he is a CM. If he can not handle the comp in his position bench or sell him. we have enough right wing players who are better than him in that position.
See Mourinho how quietly will spend over 200 million pounds and make a strong Man Unt. Conte will make Chelsea iron in the middle and in defense. Only we just dragging with speculation and uncertainty. What’s happened to Wenger after 2005. For 12 years there were only three serious purchases – Ozil, Sanchez and Cazorla. Others buy such players each year. Wenger does not know how having allowed Steven Gerrard to shake Suarez move to Arsenal. Is not convincing. OK, Arsenal won from tickets and TV rights but is losing supporters of this policy. We are hungry for success and want another policy. We want courage and certainty. Listen to my words, it will happen only after Wenger is removed. It sounds incredible if Higuain and Mahrez come to Arsenal. But who previously ??? Vardy, Draksler, Kante, Mkhitarian or Carlos Bacca, Lakazete or Morata???. Just nonsense and speculation. And what about our defenders??? . There only Koschielni not always convincing Bellerin. Wenger, why not Koulibaly and Murillo or Daniele Rugani? What are you waiting? Be a man. Act firmly and categorically. Spend a little more money at last. Do something like a men finally.
Very simple answer : The lose of David Dean…Full Stop
Seriously Wenger is out of tactics, u can not tell me that he can’t spend more money on good player, every season he keeps on telling us the same story, he keeps on saying am building a team yet he’s rebuilding. He can’t even get those video of 2004-2005 n see how the team good and strong! If I may ask, is he Wenger so special in arsena?
Wenger has lost his touch simple. Another problem is Arsenal board. Gazidi is a business man making those millions. Wenger n Gazidi r d problem of our beloved club. If both remain in Arsenal, nothing will happen. I blamed d other board members that sold their share 2 make him d highest share holder. All d board members r ready n wenger himself is a share holder so nothing will happen.
