Liverpool, Chelsea and Everton have been linked with Belgian international Axel Witsel and if reports in the media are anything to go by then the Zenit star is heading to join the Toffees this summer.
According to Mirror, top clubs are interested in signing Witsel and Zenit boss Mircea Lucescu has confirmed that the former Standard Liege star is in discussions with potential suitors.
On the other hand, Daily Mail reported yesterday that Everton have agreed a fee of 25 million pounds (€29.8 million) with the Russian side to hire the services of the ex Benfica midfielder.
Moreover, Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli tweeted today that Witsel to Everton is a done deal and the player will be moving to Goodison Park.
The 27-year-old star is a versatile talent who can play anywhere in the midfield. Last season, Axel featured in 41 games for Zenit and directly contributed in no fewer than 11 goals (6 goals and 5 assists).
Witsel played in every game for Belgium at the recently held European Championships in France. He scored a goal against Ireland.
In your opinion, is Liverpool signing Wijnaldum better than Witsel?
