Liverpool defeated Tranmere Rovers (1-0) and Fleetwood Town (5-0) in their opening two fixtures of the pre-season. Next up, the Reds will face Wigan Athletic away from home tomorrow.
Expect manager Jurgen Klopp to make a few changes in the starting XI that featured against Fleetwood Town on Wednesday.
Brazilian playmaker Phil Coutinho was not part of the squad in the last game but he will probably start against Wigan tomorrow. Coutinho’s compatriot Roberto Firmino may replace Alexander-Arnold in the starting XI. The former Hoffenheim attacker may play in the attacking midfield role behind striker Danny Ings.
New signing Sadio Mane may line up with Firmino and Coutinho in the attacking midfield. As far as the central midfield is concerned, Lucas Leiva will probably return to replace Kevin Stewart in the starting lineup. Smith may replace Moreno in the left back position.
Here is Jurgen Klopp’s probable 4-2-3-1 starting XI vs Wigan Athletic.
