Arsenal are linked with numerous quality players in the summer transfer window and as per the latest reports, a new name is in the limelight.
The North Londoners mainly need to sign a proven goalscorer, a solid center half and a top quality playmaker to reinforce their squad. However, the Gunners are looking to lure a versatile Brazilian fullback in the form of Bruno Peres.
According to reports (Daily Star via Gazzetta World), Arsenal have moved in and opened talks with Torino to sign the Samba star who is rated around 17 million pounds ($22.5 million).
Peres is mainly a right back, however, Torino did not play him in the defense at all last season. Instead, he played as a right sided midfielder in the last campaign and was pretty productive in the attack.
The former Santos FC star featured in 31 league games for the Italian club and directly contributed in no fewer than 10 goals (3 goals and 7 assists).
Arsenal really do not need to sign a defender who will play in the attack. Moreover, Bellerin is their first choice right back, therefore, spending the above mentioned fee on someone who will be the second choice makes little sense.
In your opinion, should Arsenal sign Bruno Peres?
