Arsenal have secured the signings of two talented youngsters in the form of Granit Xhaka and Takuma Asano this summer.
Having reinforced the midfield and the strike-force, Arsene Wenger is now focusing on strengthening the back line and an experienced defender is in the limelight. If reports are anything to go by then Arsenal have already moved in to hire the services of Borussia Dortmund center half Neven Subotic.
According to German source Express, the North Londoners have already submitted an offer of 14 million Euros to sign the 27-year-old Serbian international.
Subotic had an injury hit campaign last season and could only feature in 6 league games for the Bundesliga side. Neven joined Dortmund back in 2008 and since then he has featured in over 250 games for the club.
Arsenal’s veteran center back Per Mertesacker is surely past his best and must be replaced this summer. Someone like Subotic can be the perfect replacement for the German international and the Gunners must act swiftly to secure his signature.

Without mixing words, Arsene Wenger told us that he signed Takuma Asano with a view to grooming him for the future and not as a proven world class striker he has been searching for in the past decades. Wenger apart from futbol politics is a well respected Professor of Economics and must learn to drive his integrity with utmost respect and dignity and keep his promises as a bond. If Arsenal board doesn’t have funds to run the summer transfers, they should make it very clear to their fans rather than fooling them.
