"Real Quality" Player has Agreed Deal to Sign for Arsenal

Arsenal FA Cup 2005Arsenal have been looking to sign a center back this summer and they have finally agreed a deal to sign England international Rob Holding from Bolton Wanderers.
The Gunners have confirmed on their official website that the 20-year-old defender will join the club on a long term contract once regulatory processes have been completed.
Holding is a versatile player who can effectively play anywhere in the defense. Moreover, the youngster can also be utilized in the defensive midfield. He is mainly a right-sided central defender and the Gunners will probably utilize him in his preferred position.
In the last campaign, Rob featured in 31 games for Bolton in his debut season for the senior side, scored a goal and provided an assist as well.
The starlet was heavily praised for his top performances last season and ex-Bolton manager Neil Lennon claimed back in February (The Bolton News):

“Rob Holding has been a superstar for me. I think he has had real quality.”
“Every game he seems to be growing in maturity and improving in performance.”

If there were any doubts about his quality, Holding just blew them away by winning the Bolton Wanderers Player of the Year award last season. He became the first player to win the coveted prize after coming through the youth team.
Even rivals Spurs were interested (Tribal Football) in signing the highly rated youngster but Arsenal eventually won the race to secure his signature.

Great for the future but not right now!!! Let’s not forget Bolton just got relegated!!!! It’s Wengers last year in his current contract so what is he playing at by planning for the future if it’s still uncertain he will be there next summer… hence why we are always a player or two short every year cause we don’t address the now instead we look to address the future instead ffs….. We needed a CB a couple of years back nothing was done and when a few got injured we had to play Monreal at CB. We’ve been in need of a recognised ST for a few years now.Wenger thought Walcott was the solution which it was a mistake yet again. We lacked goals last year especially when Giroud was off form we didn’t have a natural goal scorer hence why we had many games we had countless chances but the game still finished 0-0 or 1-1! How many more reasons is needed till the club realise that we are in need of more goals……I.e a recognised striker to give proper competition for Giroud…. This Saga really is driving me mad every year we never get what we need and come the end of the season we all look back and say if only we got a so and so….. last year or season we were the only European Team to not buy an outfield player….ffs even Barcelona who won the treble strengthen their squad are we that good that we didn’t need to!!!! I’m not a Wenger out nor Wenger In. I just want what’s best for the club and right now Wenger is being too stubborn and set in his ways that is leading us nowhere so if this continues it will be time to say thanks and goodbye! No contract renewal without the EPL trophy imo. He should then f..O..!

I feel you pain Rui but of course Wenger would love a lot of players to sign but as he says “it takes all parties concerned to reach agreement and want it to happen”. That is very difficult to achieve with all the extra money flying around and those clubs that spend beyond their means. I can say right now that Messi, Ronaldo, Aguero, Suarez, Bale would all be welcome additions for Wenger but we cannot compete to sign them. A lot of other players are probably no better than what we have. The squad is very very good. In fact it’s probably the best in the league, but we do lack a world class Striker. They are like rocking horse poo. I think we will have to make one like we did Henry rather than buy one.
