Arsenal have been looking to sign a proven quality goalscorer for quite some time and the Gunners must secure one this summer to challenge for the Premier League title next season.
The North Londoners are once again linked with a move to sign Argentine international Gonzalo Higuain from Napoli.
If reports in the media are anything to go by then Arsenal have agreed personal terms to sign the former Real Madrid striker.
Yesterday, renowned Italian football journalist Emanuele Giulianelli claimed on his twitter account that Higuain’s agent, his brother, has agreed a long term deal with Arsenal that will make Gonzalo earn €9 million annually, €45 million (£37.5 million) in 5 years.
The La Albiceleste star is a top quality striker who netted 36 goals in 35 league games for Napoli last season. Overall, the 28-year-old star scored 38 goals and provided 3 assists in 42 games for the Serie A club.
Giulianelli also tweeted that the Italian side will sell Higuain for €70m plus €8m in bonuses.
