Arsenal need to sign a brilliant out and out goal-scorer if they are to have a serious chance of competing against the best teams for the Premier League title next season.
A certain French international has been in the limelight in the form of Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette.
The Gunners have been trying to lure him for quite some time. In 2014-15, Lacazette scored 31 goals in 40 appearances for the Ligue 1 club and the North Londoners were looking to secure his signature last summer.
This time around, Wenger moved in with an offer of 35 million euros to hire his services but Lyon rejected the move and stated that the player is irreplaceable.
However, Mirror claim that despite Lyon’s claim, Arsenal can seal the signing of Lacazette if they splash a fee of 40 million pounds (53 million).
The 25-year-old striker scored 23 goals in 44 appearances for the French side last season and has got the quality to largely improve Arsenal’s strike-force.
In your opinion, should Wenger meet the asking price and finally sign Alexandre Lacazette?
