Reigning champions Chile secured their place in the knockout stages of the Copa America Centenario after beating Panama 4-2 on the night.
Two goals each from Vargas and Alexis Sanches helped Chile earn all three points.
The Arsenal superstar playmaker scored his first goal of the game early on in the second half with an absolutely stunning volley. No keeper in the world would have been able to stop that strike.
