Tottenham have been interested in signing an out and out striker for quite some time and are linked with numerous quality players this summer.
A new name is in the lime light in the form of Dutch international and AZ Alkmaar striker Vincent Janssen.
If reports are anything to go by then Tottenham are closing in to seal the signing of the 21-year-old forward who topped the Eredivisie goal scoring charts last season after netting 27 times.
Mirror understands that Spurs have already agreed a fee with the Dutch club to sign the prolific goal scorer and have spoken to the player as well.
Dutch source Telegraaf.nl reported yesterday that Vincent spent all day in London negotiating and listening to the plans of the club.
The former Almere City striker scored no fewer than 32 goals and provided 7 assists in 49 appearances for AZ Alkmaar last season. He also scored 3 times in 5 senior appearances for the national side.
As compared to other transfer targets, Janssen can be lured for a bargain price and will probably cost around $20.3m (Daily Mail).
As per the provided Telegraaf link, the only major dilemma for Vincent at Spurs is that he will not be considered as the first striker and may only be utilized as a cover forward for Harry Kane.
In your opinion, should Spurs sign Vincent Janssen?
