Mauricio Pochettino has been looking to sign an out and out striker for Tottenham and if reports are anything to go by then the North Londoners are ready to sign not one, but two natural forwards.
There have been reports in the media (Voetbalkrant) claiming that Spurs are very close to signing Michy Batshuayi but his massive fee has been a concern.
Yesterday, Football Insider reported (via La Provence) that Marseille are in a financial crisis and have to sell the Belgian international to raise funds before the month’s end. In such a scenario, Spurs can seal his signing for cheap.
Today, according to the Times, Tottenham are confident that they will finally sign the 22-year-old forward after Euro 2016. Not only that, the report says that Spurs want Michy in addition to Dutch striker Vincent Janssen.
Such a double move will surely over-crowd the strike-force department at White Hart Lane which may sound good because Spurs need quality depth while playing Champions League football. However, one of the strikers will most likely have to warm the bench more often than not.
The former Standard Liege forward netted 23 times in 50 appearances for the French side last season.

Totally with you on Lamela. Despite a better year offensively and a pretty relentless effort on defense, he is the most ponderous of all Spurs in the attacking 3rd. I am almost certain that Eriksen would be thrilled if he were sold based on the number of times I saw him exasperated with Erik. With his stats this year, Lamela should be able to almost bring as much as he cost.
I think N’Jie needs more of a chance as he rarely if ever started and only got 10 minutes here and there on way too many occasions. Nobody impresses with that kind of use.
