Liverpool have been looking to sign a new goalie for quite some time and finally secured one in the form of Loris Karius.
A young Belgian was on trial with the Reds last year in the form of Mechelen’s 16-year-old player Jonathan de Bie.
As per reports, Liverpool coaching staff were impressed by the teenager (Tribal Football via HLN).
However, Jonathan was on trial with Tottenham as well and if reports are anything to go by then Spurs have won the race to sign the youngster.
According to the latest reports (Het Nieuwsblad), De Bie is heading to join the North London side after leaving his current club KV Mechelen.
Tottenham already have certain key Belgian stars in their squad in the form of Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen, Nacer Chadli and Mousa Dembele. Hence, the talented goalie will likely get along well at White Hart Lane.
Moreover, Jonathan will get to learn from one of the best goalies in the world i.e. captain Hugo Lloris. He has featured 3 times for the Under-15 national side and once for the Under-16s.
