Deal Close – Pochettino to Finally Seal "Outstanding" Star Signing for Spurs

Pochettino-TottenhamAfter mainly strengthening the defense and attacking midfield last summer, Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino must add quality to his strike-force and midfield departments.
As far as the midfield is concerned, Spurs are closing in on a deal to sign Southampton star Victor Wanayama (Mirror).
The Kenyan international has been impressive in the Premier League since Pochettino lured him to Southampton from Scottish side Celtic back in 2013.
The Argentine manager has been trying to bring him to White Hart Lane for quite some time. The North Londoners were heavily linked with a move to sign him last summer as well (Daily Mail).
As per the provided Mirror link, the Saints have now reluctantly accepted that the “outstanding” (ESPN) African star wants to join his old boss and the move could finally be completed this summer.
Last season, the 24-year-old defensive midfielder featured in thirty league games for the Saints, scored a goal and also provided an assist.

  1. Wanyama @ 10-11 Million good buy….But N’Golo Kante main reason for Leiester forwards scoring goals, watched him play & 110% Effort Every Game,Non Stop Running Defense To Attack,Better Porch Signing!
Why are we letting Man United Go Ahead With Possible 19 Year old Swiss Bree,Steel @ 12-15 Million?
Farting Around To Get Over Priced Michy @ 30+ Million + High Wages? Javier Would be another great signing -Cost 12-15 Million! We Still Need Top Winger that can pass, score, cross ball & beat defenders 90% of time!
SELL: Chadi,Benatab,Carrall & N’Jie …Lost ball to defenders 95%,cannot shoot, pass, cross ball or score goals, before he was injured, bad signing for US!. Roma interested in Lemela while semi hot season, behind him we should accept fair offer, especially his contract coming to end, plus he stated, stay 1 more season?

Wow, but you have forgotten that n’jie is still new to EPL and that he will still adapt. As for chadli and bentaleb it will be wise leaving them because these guys are used to EPL and still have the opportunity of shining again. But bringing new big name signing that might not even adapt under poch tactics or EPL e.g soldado. Better stick to what you have !. Wanyama will be a good addition to our squad. And make our midfield have depth.

What happen to big club mentality we are now playing cl footy , were all other clubs are lookin to add quality and we are looking to buy mediocre players , hell no , sell nabil should we buy , but what we really need is that extra special quality in the final third , is there such a player ? Absolutely , just a question of finding them !!

I believe we need to off load Mason, Carroll, and Mrs Sherwood but keep Chadli when he comes on he makes an impact unlike the other 3, with the cash and add a bit, we can obtain a quality midfielder, and give Njie another season, as he has been injured and has not settled, we did it with Salvador COYS ?

I agree Michy is overpriced but can’t see us paying over 25m for him. Personally I’d prefer Jansen and someone like long. A new, young and hungry goal scorer and an experienced premier league striker.. Also in terms of a winger i’d be inclined to let Son go and give Pritchard a shot. Boys got skills! I really then only think we need a DM and an AM. The latter is like to see Yarmolenko. Can play in any 4 attacking roles and is big and strong. DM could be wanyama, witsel or Kante. Our biggest issue is getting business done early. We know where we usually stand here so hope poch and get levy to pull his finger out soon!
