Liverpool’s failure to win the Europa League final and an 8th place finish in the Barclays Premier League means that the Reds will not be taking part in any European competition next season.
The Reds need to step up and improve big time under the management of Jurgen Klopp next season. For that to happen, the German manager must secure the signings of quality players in the summer transfer window.
As far as the current academy squad is concerned, Liverpool have agreed a new deal with 19-year-old 6ft1 defender Tom Brewitt.
The Reds announced the news on their official website earlier in the day. Brewitt is delighted with the new deal as well and claimed on twitter that he is proud to sign the contract.
The young center half has been with the club since the age of eleven and featured in 10 U-21 Premier League games for the Merseysiders last season.
