Liverpool are in search of a top quality striker this summer and a prolific forward is in the lime light.
According to reports (TMW), Uruguayan international Edinson Cavani is linked with a move away from Paris-Saint Germain this summer and the Reds are interested in hiring his services .
Last season, the South American striker netted 25 goals and provided 7 assists in 52 games for the Ligue 1 champions.
Now that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has left PSG, Cavani has the opportunity to be the main man. However, as per the provided TMW link, the 29-year-old striker wants to play in a more competitive league and is pushing for move to the Premier League.
Former Napoli coach Mazzarri once praised Cavani for his performance and claimed (Goal):
“Cavani was stunning. He became a top player at Napoli”
Edinson was Serie A’s top scorer in 2012-13 before moving to France. He is a proven quality goalscorer who will largely improve Liverpool’s strike-force.
Over all, the former Palemro forward has netted no fewer than 221 club goals in his career (Transfermarkt) and will surely be the first name on the Liverpool team sheet if he does end up joining the Anfield club.
Here is how Liverpool will line up with Cavani.
