Arsenal have not been able to replace Robin van Persie since the Dutch striker left to join Manchester United.
Since his departure, no Arsenal star has been able to score even 20+ league goals and that is one of the main reasons why the Gunners have failed to win the Premier League.
The North Londoners need a proven quality striker but it seems that once again they are looking to add a young one in the form of Croatian forward Antonio Colak who played last season on loan with 2.Bundesliga side Kaiserslautern.
Sources close to the player have revealed that Arsenal have tracked the Croatian starlet for quite some time and the Premier League club have now agreed personal terms with the player.
However, it remains to be seen whether his parent club Hoffenheim will be ready to sell the rising forward.
In 2014-15, the 22-year-old striker played for Polish club Lechia Gdansk and scored 10 goals in 30 league games for the First Division side. Last season, he made 22 league appearances (7 starts) for the German club and directly contributed in 7 goals (5 goals and 2 assists) (Transfermarkt).
Kaiserslautern Sports Director Markus Schupp claimed that Colak has a quality eye for goal (Bundesliga).
Arsenal really need a prolific goalscorer who will score 20+ league goals next season and Colak surely does not fit the bill at the moment.
The supporters will be frustrated, not for the first time, if Arsenal fail to sign a top quality striker.

Story falls apart, because when Arsenal did have a proven striker in Robin van Persie, they also didn;t win the league. The year after he left, Arsenal scored more goals and ended up with more points in the league, so my point is, having one proven striker isn’t the be-and-end of it all. There is more to a team than just that.
