Liverpool have been looking to reinforce their attack for quite some time and they have finally secured the signing of a top attacking playmaker this summer in the form of Sadio Mane.
The Reds confirmed the signing of Mane from Southampton on their official website yesterday. The Senegalese international joined the Saints back in 2014 and has proved to be a huge hit in the Premier League.
Last season, the 24-year-old African star scored 15 goals and provided 9 assists in 43 games for Southampton. Overall, Mane netted 25 goals and provided 14 assists in 75 games for the Saints (Transfermarkt).
Sadio is a versatile star who can play anywhere in the attacking third. Last season, Ronald Koeman effectively utilized him on the flanks, as a central attacking midfielder and also as a secondary striker when needed.
It will be intriguing to see how Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will utilize Sadio Mane in his starting XI next season.
