Deal Close – How Liverpool will Line up with "Complete" $34million Star

Mateo Kovacic CroatiaLiverpool manager Jurgen Klopp wants to adequately reinforce his midfield department for next season. A certain Serbian international in the form of Marko Grujic was signed last winter and will be ready for his Liverpool debut.
If reports are anything to go by then the Merseysiders are once again heavily linked with Croatian international Mateo Kovacic.
According to Tribal Football, the Reds are closing in on signing the Real Madrid star in a deal worth 30 million Euros ($34 million).
The 22-year-old former Inter midfielder is a “complete” player as per Croatian legend Zvonimir Boban (Eurosport). Over the years, Kovacic has proved that he is a complete star by effectively playing in various midfield and attacking positions (Transfermarkt).
He made 34 appearances for the Los Blancos last season and the Spanish side utilized him as a defensive midfielder, creative central midfielder, attacking midfielder and also as a left midfielder when needed.
However, in the presence of senior stars like Kroos and Modric, Kovacic could only start 11 times and must move for regular football.
Kovacic is technically better than Jordan Henderson and if he does end up signing for the Reds, the Croat will most likely partner Emre Can in the midfield. Here is how Liverpool will line up with Mateo Kovacic.

Am an addicted liverpool fan,i would love to see jonas hector instead of Moreno, saido Mane instead of firmino, origi in place of sturridge and also Mercado somewhr in the defence line,And if we can as well get Zielinski because of his strenght and Marek Hamsik…I would be so glad,i had wanted to see him playing along Steven Gerrard for quite a long time(Hamsik).God bless klopp,LFC fans all around the Globe.

Well, the rumours about the imminent signing of Nolito didn’t last long as he’s signing for City but, in the team as mentioned above, we still have Moreno and we still have a very injury-prone Sturridge up front. I can remember when Roger Hunt played up front and can’t remember him EVER missing a game! On the full-back issue, if we don’t get Hector then somebody MUST doubt the sanity of our management.
I don’t know enough about Kovacic to say much but he was very popular with the fans at Inter – and I always think that’s a good sign – and not being a regular starter at Madrid when you’ve got Kroos, Modric, Bale and Isco ahead of you isn’t surprising! Whether he is the defensive midfielder we need, I don’t know, but, at 22, he sounds like a good bet.
