Arsene Wenger has tried to reinforce the midfield department in the previous three winter windows and now wants to add another midfielder in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Kallstrom was signed back in January 2014 (on loan), Bielik joined the Gunners in January 2015 and last winter Mohamed Elneny signed for the North Londoners.
Now, if reports (Telegraph) are anything to go by, Arsenal are closing in to sign Granit Xhaka from Borussia Monchengladbach.
The Swiss international is mainly a central defensive midfielder. At the moment, Arsenal’s first choice holding midfielder is Francis Coquelin.
It is highly likely that Granit will take Coquelin’s place in the starting XI if he does end up joining for the club because he is not only a strong DM but also a brilliant passer of the ball.
If Cazorla stays at the club as well then Xhaka will most likely form the all important midfield partnership with the Spaniard.
Here is how we believe Arsenal will line up with $51m (Mail) rated star.

Wenger to spend $51m on a DM? You wish! I’m just having a good laugh. It’s that time again when we read all sorts of transfer fairy tales which end up to be just that – tales.
Bonaroca:- I will not believe Mr Wenger when he says he is going to sign a player until the player actually
signs on the dotted lines. We’ve had enough of his leg pulling of going to sign a player then will come up with
some stupid excuse. End of Story.
