Mauricio Pochettino has been looking to sign a quality striker to cover for Harry Kane for quite some. However, in the previous two transfer windows, the Argentine boss has failed to sign such a talent.
If reports are anything to go by then there is a new name in the lime light in the form of FC Sion striker Moussa Konate.
According to Mirror, Spurs are prioritizing the signing of the 23-year-old Senegal forward who has been in brilliant form for the Swiss side.
As per the provided Mirror link, the African star could be available for a bargain price of 6 million pounds.
Konate has mainly played as a center forward this season but he can also be effectively utilized out wide. He has netted 13 goals and provided 8 assists in 35 games for Sion this season.
Other Premier League clubs have been interested in signing the quality forward as well. Sion coach Didier Tholot heavily praised (Tribal Football) Konate once by stating:
“We have a striker who today walks on water.”
In your opinion, should Spurs sign Moussa Konate or is Marseille’s Michy Batshuayi a better option?
