Liverpool are looking to reinforce their midfield in the summer transfer window and a certain Polish international has been constantly linked with a move to Anfield.
The player in discussion is Udinese star midfielder Piotr Zielinski who has been impressive on loan for Empoli this season.
According to the reports in the Polish media (Przeglad Sportowy via Canal +), Liverpool are closing in to sign the 21-year-old midfielder and the Reds are set to complete his signing on Wednesday.
Piotr has featured in 35 league games for Empoli this season and has directly contributed in no fewer than 11 goals (5 goals and 6 assists).
In a recent interview with WhoScored, the “Gifted” star claimed that Liverpool boss is “one of the best managers” in the world and it would be an honor for him to play under his management.
Not to forget, last winter, Liverpool secured the singing of a young midfielder in Marko Grujic. Do they really need Zielinski?
