Forget Kante – Arsenal are Expected to Complete the Signing of Versatile Star

Arsenal are looking to reinforce their midfield in the summer transfer window and two quality defensive midfielders are heavily linked with the Gunners.
The players in discussion are N’Golo Kante (Leicester City) and Granit Xhaka (Borussia Monchengladbach) (Daily Star).
The North Londoners already have a strong tackler in the form of French international Francis Coquelin. Goes without saying that Kante has been far better than his compatriot, still, Wenger needs a versatile DM who can also provide quality balls into the final third as well.
Such a role can be effectively played by Swiss international Granit Xhaka. According to Goal, Arsenal are expected to complete the signing of the former Basel player before the start of the European Championships.
