Spurs to Finally Sign Versatile Star After Agreeing Deal in Principle

Pochettino-TottenhamTottenham already have quality players in the midfield department under the management of Mauricio Pochettino. Still, the Argentine boss is looking to further reinforce the department by luring a solid defensive midfielder.
The North Londoners failed to sign Morgan Schneiderlin last summer and the French star moved to Old Trafford from Southampton.
Lately, Spurs have been linked with former Real Madrid star Lassana Diarra. Moreover, according to  the latest reports in the Turkish media (Fanatik), Fenerbahce star Mehmet Topal has agreed a deal in principle to sign for Tottenham.

The versatile star is mainly a defensive midfielder but can also be deployed effectively in the central defense. This season, he has featured in 45 games for the Turkish side, scored 2 goals and provided 3 assists as well (Transfermarkt).
As per the provided Fanatik link, Spurs have been looking to hire Topal’s services for quite some time and now he looks set to move to White Hart Lane.
Pochettino is perhaps looking for someone experienced for the defensive midfield role. Diarra is 31 and Topal is 30. In your opinion, should Spurs sign Mehmet Topal?
