Tottenham have been brilliant this season and are currently 5 points behind league leaders Leicester City with 4 games to go. Can they win the title? We shall see.
The Professional Footballers’ Association awards dinner will be held on Sunday night and surely they are going to be Tottenham players in the team of the year.
However, renowned Arsenal fan Piers Morgan has ignored Tottenham’s star striker Harry Kane in his Team of the year for reasons unknown.
The England international is currently the league’s top scorer and he is the main force behind Tottenham’s title charge. Out of Spurs’ 64 league goals, Harry Kane has netted 24 goals this season.
Kane should really be the name on everyone’s list but Morgan opted to ignore him and selected Sergio Aguero and Jamie Vardy instead.
He did select two Tottenham defenders Toby Alderweireld and Danny Rose in his team though. Here is Morgan’s team of the year.
My Premier League Team of the Year:
De Gea
Bellerin
Alderweireld
Morgan
Rose
Kante
Mahrez
Ozil
Coutinho
Aguero
Vardy— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) April 23, 2016
“…for reasons unknown”. Hardly, he’s an Arsenal fan. It would be too much for him to include Kane (as everyone else would). Alderweireld and Rose are concessionary, don’t be fooled!
Aguero has been left out as the player of the year ever since arriving at Man City, Harry Kane doesn’t have a devine right to be picked in the team of the season.
