Signing an out and out striker should be Tottenham’s priority in the summer transfer window. The North Londoners failed to hire one in the last two transfer markets and must ensure that they finally get a quality star this time around.
Luckily, star striker Harry Kane has remained fit and that has helped Spurs to seriously challenge for the Premier League title this season.
However, Spurs need someone who can partner Kane in the strike-force and if needed, play as the lone striker upfront as well. If reports are anything to go by then Pochettino is interested in finally signing such a star in the form of Croatian international Mario Mandzukic.
According to Tuttosport, Spurs are interested in signing the Juventus star in the summer transfer window. The 29-year-old striker is a proven quality goalscorer and was part of the treble winning Bayern Munich side in 2013.
Mandzukic could well be the perfect signing Spurs need to strengthen their strike-force. This season, he has directly contributed in 16 goals (11 goals and 5 assists) in 30 games for the Serie A side.
In your opinion, should Spurs sign Mario or look elsewhere?
