Germany Favorites to Win the European Championships

The European club football is entering its final phase as far as this season is concerned and then all eyes will be on the Copa America and the European Championships.
Reigning European champions Spain lost their world title to Germany in 2014 and it will be fair to say that the Germans are favorites to take the European Crown from the Spaniards as well.
Joachim Low’s team were not really at their best during the qualification (ESPN) campaign but eventually the three time European champions qualified as the winners of their group.
Even in the absence of retired former captain Lahm and injured current skipper Schweinsteiger, the four time World Champions have the best odds to conquer the continent once again.
The Kaisers have got top quality players in every department starting from their World Class goalie, Manuel Neuer, who will probably captain the side in the absence of Schweni.
They have got solid defenders like Hummels and Boateng and top midfielders in the form of Borussia Dortmund’s Gundogan and Madrid’s Toni Kroos.
Moreover, the Germans have one of the best attacking midfields with player of the year Mesut Ozil, Marco Reus and Mario Gotze. Highly likely that Thomas Muller will start as the lone striker upfront for the World Champions.
