Board Set to Penalize Man United for the Game against Spurs

BPLManchester United were on a two game winning run and the in-form Red Devils went to White Hart Lane searching for their third consecutive victory.
However, Tottenham absolutely ripped Man United apart by scoring three goals in the space of 5 minutes. Louis van Gaal’s men have a mountain to climb now and Champions League qualification looks highly unlikely.
To add insult to injury, the Red Devils are expected to get a penalty for the game against Spurs because they arrived very late at White Hart Lane.

The scheduled 4pm kick-off was delayed for 30 minutes because Manchester United’s bus got stuck in traffic and arrived late. Telegraph report that the Red Devils team bus only left their hotel central London at around 1.45pm for the scheduled 4pm start and then had to be diverted after they could not get under a bridge.

“There is a fixed penalty £5,000 fine for matches that are delayed by 15 minutes or less. Beyond that and the situation must be considered by the Premier League board”

Since the delay was over 15 minutes, Premier League Board is expected to decide the penalty. United faithful should not worry as there will be no points deduction. At the moment, Manchester City are four points clear of their neighbors.
Can United finish in the top four?
