Arsenal have Agreed Key Deal in Principle but Must Also Sign World Class Striker

Robin van Persie PFA 2012 AwardSince the departure of former captain Robin van Persie, Arsenal have never been able to replace the prolific Dutch forward.
The Netherlands striker scored 30 league goals for the Gunners in his last campaign with the North Londoners before joining Manchester United. Since then, no Arsenal striker has been able to score even 20 league goals in a season and that is one huge concern for Arsene Wenger.
The good news is that Arsenal are close to signing a new contract with record signing Mesut Ozil who has already agreed a deal in principle (Mirror). However, the Gunners must focus on signing a world class striker who will score the many chances that Ozil creates.

The German international has already broken the Premier League record for chances created and needs three assists in the remaining three games to break Henry’s PL assist record. If Arsenal strikers were prolific enough, Ozil would have broken that record by now.
In the first half of the season, the World Cup winner created 80 chances and got 16 assists. Since the turn of the year, he has created 57 chances and only 2 of them have been converted into goals (ESPN).
Enough is enough, Wenger must splash the cash and lure a world class striker or Arsenal fans can forget about winning the title even next season.
