8 Players Out – Liverpool's Strongest Possible XI vs Villareal

Europa League LogoLiverpool will face Villareal away from home in the first leg of their Europa League semi final on Thursday night.
The Reds have been in brilliant form lately but suffered a shock result against relegation threatened Newcastle United last weekend. The Magpies, managed by former Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez, came back from two goals down to earn a point at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp’s men will look to bounce back against the Spaniards and get a positive result at El Madrigal.

As far as the team news is concerned, Liverpool will be without 8 players for the game against Villareal.
They have no fewer than 7 players (Europa League) out injured and majority of them are key first team players. On the other hand, the Reds have decided to not play first choice center back Sakho until the reported doping case is resolved.
In such a scenario, here is Liverpool’s strongest possible XI vs Villareal.

Skrtel will cause us the game ..plus jittery Mignolet
worried these 2 players will ruin our campaign

  2. Dee says:

Lucas ahead of Sketrl for Cb. Allen in Cm.

  3. funnie says:

Joe allen should be at the DM. Lukas at CB to replace skrtel

  4. Spiler says:

    I beg no Skrtel.

What exactly does Roberto “tap in” Firmino bring to the team to merit selection? He seems to be more than a little bit lazy and usually lets the others do the hard work. Yes, when presented with a tap-in he tends to score. Big deal.

  6. Dids says:

Is Kolo injured or something? Because I’m not sure how fit Skrtel is but we can’t have Mignolet and an unfit center back… that’s just thtowing the game…
Seriousluly Mignolet already costed us the League Cup and the last chance we had at top 4 I cant support that guy much after the ahit he’s been pulling…
I believe that Klopp knows that Mignolet is an awful GK if you want your team to win stuff and he just extended his contract to give him cobfidence for the rest of this season and not bcause ge thinks about him as LFX’s future GK… I believe the club could even have already bought Leno or sonething but sincecwe are still fighting for the EUL nobobe wants to make Migbolet feel more unstable than he already is…

Question: Does Klopp have a history of embedding really good goal-keepers into his teams?
      Answer: No!
Conclusion: Prepare for watching Mignolet a while longer.

We shouldn’t just write off Skrtel so easily and u should put it in mind that Kolo ain’t got no fast feet to chase after these yellow submarine player,i guess Skrtel should be giving a chance here, while we really need Joe Allen in the heart of our midfield.

    • anteater says:

So far it doesn’t seem as if Klopp fancied Joe Allen at all. He’d be well adviced to find himself a club where he actually isn’t seen as a reserve player as he surely is too gifted to be just that.

  8. Alex mgalla says:

Remove skrtel please , Mignolet and skrtel for sure they will cost a team! please take kolo and Lovren at center back. Then Allen should come from sub and Lucas be substituted.

  9. Alex mgalla says:

Sturridge is not serious at all he loses many chances then he do not sacrify for a team, he has a problem with passes accuracy but also he thinks that when he get in the box only himself is one who can score he does not give pass to his fellow team mate. He always want to be seen scoring than any Liverpool player while his capacity for is very low. Sturrridge must fight for the team not for his interest its not a football he has to learn and change such habit.
