Spurs Clear to Sign Decorated Star but do they Really Need him

Last summer, Tottenham Hotspur adequately reinforced their squad under the management of Mauricio Pochettino and the results have been fruitful.
The Argentine manager focused on strengthening the back line first and lured three defenders in the summer transfer window.
The likes of Toby Alderweireld, Kevin Wimmer and Kieran Trippier joined the White Hart Lane club and now Spurs have a solid defense with quality and depth and they really do not need another defender at the moment.

However, the North Londoners are linked with a move for another defender in the form of Barcelona center back Marc Bartra.
According to reports (The Sun), Tottenham have been handed a boost in pursuit of the Spanish star as Barcelona have admitted that the player is free to move in the summer. Bartra is a decorated star and has won 10 major titles with the Catalan giants.
In all honesty, Vertonghen and Alderweireld form the best central defensive partnership in the PL and Bartra will probably find himself on the bench even at Spurs.
Pochettino has failed to lure an out and out forward to add depth in strike-force department and signing one should be his main priority in the summer transfer window.
