Manchester United Can Finally Sign 85-Goal Star for $40million

Even after spending heavy cash under the management of Louis van Gaal, Manchester United desperately need to add world class stars in their attack.
The Dutch manager let go more than a few proven strikers and replaced them with a young French star in the form of Anthony Martial.
However, the Red Devils badly need a clinical goalscorer who will help them challenge for the big prizes again. According to reports (TMW), Inter Milan will be forced to sell star striker Mauro Icardi in summer if they fail to qualify for the Champions League and United can sign the Argentine forward for a fee f $40 million as mentioned by Inter’s president.

Man United were linked with the 23-year-old star last month (TuttoSport) as well and may have the chance to finally lure him as it looks highly likely that Inter will fail to make it into the CL.
The South American forward was Serie A’s top scorer last season. This season he has netted 12 goals in 26 league games for the Nerazzurri. Overall, Icardi has scored 85 goals in his club career so far (Transfermarkt).
Icardi will be a quality signing for United but the Red Devils must first focus on qualifying for the Champions League themselves.
