Manchester United need a world class striker in their ranks, someone who can score 20+ league goals a season. Only then the Red Devils can think about winning the Premier League title again.
If reports are anything to go by then thanks to Jose Mourinho, who is expected to take charge of United next season, Man United are set to sign Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain.
According to Tribal Football (Giulianelli Exclusive), Mourinho has held talks with Higuain’s agent (his brother) and reached an agreement in principle over a 5 year deal that will earn Higuain 10 million Euros a season with Manchester United. The report also states that a mammoth 85 million pounds bid is being readied for the former Madrid forward.
This is not the first time United have been linked with the Argentine striker. Last summer, United were heavily linked (Fichajes) with the Gonzalo but eventually he stayed with Napoli.
Higuain has been in brilliant form this season and has scored for fun. Former Italy international Ravanelli claimed not so long ago that the La Albiceleste man is a ‘magnificent’ star (Goal).
Without doubt, he will be a world class addition to United’s squad. Will Man United be able to finally lure Higuain? We shall see.
