Tottenham have been chasing West Brom star Saido Berahino since last summer and if reports are anything to go by then the North Londoners have agreed a deal in principle to lure him next summer.
According to the Guardian, Tottenham and WBA have reached an agreement over a move for the versatile attacking star.
Spurs will most likely be playing Champions League football next season and Pochettino has been looking to sign a versatile striker for quite some time. It will be fair to say that Berahino completely fits the bill.
The 22-year-old England international scored no fewer than 20 goals last season and over all he has netted 87 goals in his career so far (Transfermarkt).
Berahino can play in multiple attacking positions and has been effectively utilized as a center forward and also as a secondary striker. Hence, Saido is the perfect signing and Pochettino can use him to support Kane in the attack and play as the lone striker upfront in his absence.
Here is how Spurs will line up with Berahino if he does end up signing for them.

So you think signing Berahino would lead to Dembele being dropped, one of the outstanding performers of the season? Brilliant.
Few seasons now..Spurs needed a twin versatile striker to partner Kane..to share d goals. Look at Barca..3 strikers..
Too much on Kane’s shoulders now..n this season..is Spurs real chance to be in Champions league cup.Bera is an energetic..versatile striker to partner Kane. Spurs need rotation..in case Kane need to be rested. Dembelle..Son..Lamela..Erik..are all important n skillfull attackers too n Chadli.
So no issue w Bera..get him this time.
All 4 one…. One 4 all.
