Liverpool Player Ratings Against Augsburg

Liverpool qualify for the Round of 16 of the Europa League after defeating German Bundesliga side 1-0 at Anfield last night.
The only goal of the game was scored in the 5th minute by vice captain James Milner from the spot.
The Merseysiders wasted more than a few chances to score again but once again poor finishing did not help. On the other hand, Augsburg goalie Hitz was in top form and made brilliant saves on the night to keep his side in the game.

The likes of Coutinho, Firmino and Sturridge were influential in the attack and created many openings. However, no one was clinical in front of goal to double Liverpool’s advantage.
Brazilian defensive midfielder Lucas Leiva started in the central defense and clearly looked uncomfortable at the back. Fortunately, Jurgen Klopp’s did not concede any away goal and survive a late scare to qualify for the next round.
