Who Cares about Performance – Man United Ratings vs Liverpool

Manchester United and Liverpool collided at Anfield yesterday and against all odds, the Red Devils earned three points.
The Merseysiders were dominant all game, had all the possession and created majority of the chances. However, the Reds failed to take their chances and paid the price as United scored late in the second half to secure victory.
United’s performance level was once again not up to the mark but who cares about that against Liverpool. All that matters is the result and in the end the win was sweet for the travelling supporters.

David de Gea was arguably visitors’ best player on the field and made few fantastic saves to keep United in the game.
Once again, Liverpool failed to deal with a corner and conceded. They are now 8 points behind 4th placed Tottenham. It will be fair to say that their best chance of qualifying for next season’s Champions League is by winning the Europa League.
