Tottenham have been looking to secure the services of a striker for quite some time but the wait is still on.
Nevertheless, it is also very significant that the North Londoners hold onto their key players and today Spurs have done exactly that by agreeing and signing a new deal with Mousa Dembele.
The 28-year-old Belgian international has signed a new three year deal (Spurs Official Twitter) that will run until 2019. Dembele has been impressive this season and deserved the new deal.
The former Fulham midfielder is a versatile talent and this season he has played as a DM, CM, AM and also as a winger when needed for Mauricio Pochettino’s side. In 20 games, Dembele has also netted 4 goals (Transfermarkt).
Pochettino considers Mousa as one of the most important stars and claimed that he is a great player with great quality (ESPN).
Spurs are also close (Guardian) to agreeing a deal with another Dembele but he is a French international and currently plays for Fulham as a striker.
