Tottenham Hotspur returned to winning ways in the Barclays Premier League and comprehensively defeated Sunderland at the weekend to retain fourth spot.
The North Londoners are in a brilliant position to secure Champions League qualification again and must reinforce their squad in the winter window to avoid any kind of set backs in the second half of the season.
Spurs’ priority should be to add another forward who could support Harry Kane and provide decent cover in the absence of the England international. If reports are anything to go by then Spurs are ready to move in and finally secure the signing of such a forward.
According to reports (France Football) in the French media, Spurs are preparing an offer of 10 million Euros to sign in-form Toulouse forward Wissam Ben Yedder.
The 25-year-old Les Bleus star can be the perfect signing for Spurs. He has been effectively utilized as a center forward and also as a supporting striker upfront. This season, Wissam has netted 13 goals and provided 3 assists in 22 games for the Ligue 1 side (Transfermarkt).

What about Javier a proven premier striker or bench warmers; Bony -Benteke – Also top Swiss 18 year old striker Embelee?
javier? who? hernandez? i’d say he struggled to prove himself at united.. hes scoring now hes in bundesliga but we are highly unlikely to move for him…. benteke and bony both too expensive and old. and neither suit pochs style… all those three players are new arrivals anyway their clubs wont want to sell……. charlie austin would have done a good job
Derek is right Hernandez would have been perfect for us and at a good price. You cannot say he didn’t really make it in the Premier because he wasn’t played regularly at United always coming on as a sub. Cannot believe Charlie Austin has been mentioned again as there has to be something wrong with him the way his price just dropped and dropped with no takers. As for this Yedder guy he sounds like a typical Levy buy …cheap as chips as Dickinson would say. When is Levy going to learn by his many mistakes.
Do not panic buy..if possible use our youth players for the striker position..and further more we hv njie and son available if anything happen to Kane..its not easy to find the right players dduring the january transfer window.
