After back to back wins, Liverpool once again suffered a set back in the Premier League as West Ham United defeated them at Upton Park 2-0.
Jurgen Klopp’s men were largely poor during the game against the Hammers and must improve big time when they face Stoke City in the first leg of their Capital One Cup semi final tie.
The Reds have been impressive in the league cup and defeated Southampton 6-1 away from home in the quarter final contest. Stoke also lost their last game after back to back PL wins and will be hoping to bounce back in the midweek.
As far as the team news is concerned, Captain Jordan Henderson has been ruled out (Official Liverpool website) by Jurgen Klopp and same goes for injury prone Daniel Sturridge. Expect Jordon Ibe to start for the Reds to add pace to the starting lineup.
