Tottenham are currently in a great position to achieve their objective of qualifying for the next season’s Champions League by finishing in the top four.
However, they still need to add more quality players to challenge the best of teams in the world. Signing an out and out striker should be their priority since they lack quality and depth in the strike-force department. If Harry Kane gets injured, Spurs could be in trouble.
Nevertheless, after signing three defenders in the summer transfer window, Spurs are closing (Express via CalcioMercato) in to sign another one in the form of Marseille center back Nicolas N’Koulou.
The 25-year-old African star is a right center back, a position that is currently occupied by Belgian international Toby Alderweireld. Toby and Vertonghen have been performing brilliantly this season and Spurs currently have the best defense in the league.
Highly unlikely that the Cameroonian defender can get into the starting XI in the PL when both are fit but he can surely add more quality and depth.
Here is how Spurs will line up with Nicolas N’Koulou.
