Liverpool Moved in – How Reds will Line up with 94-Goal Star

Liverpool FCLiverpool suffered their second league defeat at Anfield under the management of Jurgen Klopp and this time around, arch rivals Manchester United defeated the Reds.
Once again, the Merseysiders failed to score and may need to sign another striker in the winter window to solve the dilemma up front. The likes of Sturridge, Origi and Ings are out injured. On the other hand, big money signing Benteke has failed to impress so far.
According to reports (Mirror), Liverpool moved in to sign Southampton striker Shane Long but the Saints have rejected their 8 million pounds offer.

The Saints secured the signing of the Republic of Ireland striker in the summer transfer window and he has directly contributed in 10 goals (8 goals and 2 assists) in 20 games this season. Over all, the 28-year-old striker has netted 94 goals in his club career (Transfermarkt).
It remains to be seen whether Liverpool will make another move to secure his services in the January transfer window. Taking into consideration their recent performances in the attack, the Reds must sign a striker.
