So far not so good for Tottenham in the winter transfer window as the North Londoners must reinforce their strike-force this month.
Spurs are in a decent position to finally achieve their objective of qualifying for the Champions League again. However, they have been lucky as compared to other top four rivals when it comes to injury concerns.
If Harry Kane gets injured, Tottenham can find themselves in big big trouble with no quality cover/supporting striker around.
According to reports (The Sun), West Brom star Saido Berahino hashis heart set on a move to Tottenham this winter and is ready to snub the likes of Newcastle and Stoke to seal White Hart Lane move.
As per the provided Sun link, Spurs made several bids to sign the England international in the summer transfer window but the move was eventually blocked by the Baggies.
Berahino scored no fewer than 20 goals in all competitions for WBA last season while playing in multiple attacking positions. The 22-year-old attacker can solve Tottenham’s strike-force dilemma as he has the talent to support Kane upfront and also play as a lone striker in his absence.
We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds in the coming weeks.
