World Class Star Set to Seal Deal with Arsenal

Arsenal’s record signing and three time German player of the year Mesut Ozil is in brilliant form this season and deserves to get a new contract.
Metro cite reports in the Italian media (TMW) claiming that Ozil is set to sign a bumper new deal with the Gunners that will make him earn £8.2 million-a-year.
The German international has been heavily criticized over the past two seasons for not performing well consistently. However, this season, he has been by far Arsenal’s best player.

Ozil has directly contributed in 15 goals (2 goals, 13 assists) in as many Premier League games this season. Currently, Arsenal legend Theirry Henry holds the PL record of 20 assists (2002-03) and the former Real Madrid star looks favorite to beat the retired French star.
Moreover, the 27-year-old playmaker has scored 2 goals in 6 Champions League appearances as well. A new contract will surely motivate Ozil more and if he continues to play like this all season then the dream of winning the PL title can be achieved.
