Tottenham are in search of a striker this winter and there are numerous names linked with a move to White Hart Lane.
One player who has been in the lime light quite often is Belgian international and Gent forward Laurent Depoitre.
According to Daily Mail, Tottenham have added the $21m rated Depoitre to their transfer wishlist. Laurent rejected the offer to extend his contract with Gent and has been put up for sale. Moreover, Spurs seem serious about signing him because they have scouted him on various occasions this season and will be watching the 27-year-old star again in the Champions League tonight.
However, it will be fair to say that Laurent Depoitre has been very mediocre this season and it is baffling that Spurs are keen about signing him.
He has played in every minute of their Champions League campaign and has not scored a single goal. Will he score tonight? We shall see. On the other hand, in all competitions, Laurent has only scored 7 goals in 24 games.
In your opinion, should Spurs sign Depoitre or look elsewhere?
