Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger claimed a few years back that the January transfer window is an unfair window, should be completely cut or limited.
The Gunners do have a habit of taking winter transfer window not so seriously (BBC) and because of that they have suffered big time in recent years.
Its a blunder that Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino must avoid at all costs but it seems that he may make the same mistake like Arsenal by not adequately reinforcing the squad next month.
Tottenham badly need an out and out striker in the winter transfer window, someone who can support Harry Kane and cover in his absence.
However, lately, Pochettino claimed (Mirror) that the likes of Son, Njie and Chadli can play in the striking role and can replace Kane. The problem is that none of the mentioned players is a natural forward.
The game against Newcastle United made it even more evident that Spurs need a striker. Kane might not be injury prone but he does have off days and Pochettino just had no plan B against the Magpies when the England international was ineffective.
Hence, the Argentine boss should act swiftly in the winter transfer window and must secure an out and out striker to strengthen the attack.
